Internet Browser & Device Settings

Tip: For the most complete and current information about your browser's functions, visit your browser's help or support community.

We encourage you to consider your browser and your device (computer, smart phone, tablet) as part of your workspace. You can set up your digital environment to increase efficiency, similar to how you might adjust your physical environment (desk, office, classroom, chair, lighting). You'll use an internet browser from your device to access and use Blackbaud Education Management and other cloud solutions.

You may even use your browser and device settings to navigate and make selections. For example, you might use the "forward" and "back" buttons to return to pages or functions you recently visited. You might use keyboard or browser shortcuts to move your cursor, select options, and enter data without using a mouse or touch screen.

Consider using your browser's bookmarks or favorites function to create a shortcut to the login screen for your school's instance of Blackbaud Education Management and to your school's public facing website.

Tip: Users who use Safari as an internet browser may have trouble with how the TAB key functions when they attempt to login. To fix it, we recommend updating the browser setting. From your Safari browser menu, select Preferences and choose Advanced. Then enable the Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage option. This change may reduce your need to use a mouse to manually select Next. It enables you to use theTAB key to advance your cursor to the item you want to select to continue to log in. Without this change, the TAB key will instead select the URL address bar at the top of your Safari browser window.
