Grades Management Overview

The Overview tab in Grades management allows you to grant awards and add diplomas to students.

Note: This tab is currently only visible to users with the Award Manager or Diploma Manager role. Different users will be able to complete different tasks from this page. For information on setting up roles for your school, see the help topic Security roles (Old Version).

  1. Go to Academics.

  2. Select Grades, then Grades management. The Overview tab will open by default.

You can associate a diploma with multiple students in bulk. You can use this feature to start a group of students using graduation requirements.

  1. Select + Add diploma to a group. This will open a new set of menu options.

  2. Choose which type of category you will use to select students:

    List: Select an existing Student List.

    Tip: To create or edit Student Lists, go to Grades in the main menu and select Manage lists. For more information about this process, see the help topic Manage Lists.

    Grade level: Select one of the grade levels at your school.

  3. Select Next.

  4. Use the search bar to select a Diploma to associate with the students.

  5. Select Next.

  6. The final step is a verification check. Once you have confirmed that the selected students and the name of thediploma are accurate, select Finish. A notification will appear at the bottom right of your browser window indicating that the process has begun.

When the process is complete, the diploma you selected will be applied to students in the grade or list you selected. The students can now apply credits toward completion of the diploma.

  1. Under Tasks, select + Record award.

  2. Select the School year and Term to grant the award.

  3. Select the Student(s) to award, then select the name of the Award.

  4. Optional: Enter the Date conferred and Comment to display alongside the award on transcripts.

  5. When you are finished, select Save or Save and add another.

Learning profiles are a way to keep track of a student's classroom adaptations, mental health diagnoses, developmental delays, and other information that relates to their learning needs. You can add a learning profile for a student from the Grades Management Overview page.

  1. Select + Add learning profile.

  2. Search for a student name and select it.

  3. Select a Start on date when the learning profile takes effect. You can either use the calendar picker or enter the date in the format MM/DD/YYYY.

    Optional: Select an End on date.

  4. Select a Learning profile to fill out for this student.

  5. If this is a learning profile that requires approval, choose from the options Ready for approval or Not ready for approval. If this learning profile does not require approval, then choose from the options Ready or Not ready.

  6. Fill out the form and select Save. The learning profile will now appear on the student's Academic Profile under Learning Profiles.
