Payment Terminal Troubleshooting

Need assistance connecting your payment terminal? If it doesn't appear in the list of available terminals — or if you receive an error when you try to connect — try these troubleshooting tips:

  1. Verify the payment terminal is charged, powered on, and within your mobile device's Bluetooth reception range.

  2. From your mobile device's settings, verify Bluetooth is enabled.

  3. Verify your mobile device has an active wireless or data connection.

  4. Restart the payment terminal and try to connect again.

If your problem still isn't resolved, view your payment terminal's product sheet for specific troubleshooting tips:

  • M2™

  • WisePad™ 3

  • BBPOS Chipper™ 2X BT

    Note: For the BBPOS Chipper 2X BT, you must pair the payment terminal through the Blackbaud MobilePay Terminal app, not through your mobile device’s Bluetooth settings. If the terminal is already paired, open your device’s Bluetooth settings, forget the payment terminal, then return to the app to connect.
