Prospect Giving Indicators and Behaviors

Prospect Insights uses advanced proprietary analytical methods to make giving projections based on a constituent's giving history in Raiser's Edge NXT and data from third parties. The data and projections include:

Prospect insights models

The Prospect insights models provide predictive values for the following data models:

  • Major giving likelihood provides the prospect’s willingness and capacity of giving more than $10,000 in the next 12 months to your organization, represented as a score of Excellent, Very good, Good, or Low.

    The main factors used to determine Major giving likelihood are:

    • Giving history

    • Giving to other organizations

    • Wealth data

    • Socioeconomic data

    Additional factors are considered to improve the projection's accuracy.

  • The Target gift range is an aggressive projection of how much a prospect can give over the next 12 months.

    The Target gift range value is not necessarily the size of gift you should ask for. You might ask for a larger gift spread out over multiple years, or a smaller gift if you are aware of extenuating circumstances.

    The main factors used to determine the Target gift range are:

    • Giving history

    • Giving to other organizations

    • Wealth data

    • Socioeconomic data

    Additional factors are considered to improve the projection's accuracy.

Giving Indicators

Under Giving indicators, you can view a prospect’s estimated net worth and total confirmed assets. Select View details to view the identified and projected wealth attributes used to calculate the prospect's target gift range. Attributes include:

  • Estimated annual income: Provides the projected income for the next 12 months based on known data and analytics for the individual or household, if individual income is unavailable.

  • Estimated invested assets: Provides the projected total liquid assets based on known data and analytics for the individual or household, if individual assets are unavailable.

  • Estimated net worth: Provides the projected net worth based on known data and analytics for the individual or household, if individual income is unavailable.

  • Estimated discretionary spending: Provides the projected discretionary spending the household has available and is prepared to spend in the next 12 months.

  • Estimated real estate assets and real estate holdings: Provides the estimated total real estate assets and holdings for the individual or household if individual information is unavailable.

Giving Behavior

Under Giving behavior, you can view a snapshot of a prospect's giving to your organization over the last three years. Select View details to compare the first, latest, and greatest gifts to your organization to those given to other organizations.

Note: Gifts to all organizations displays total giving from the prospect's household.
