Set up your Donor Portal to provide a curated, online experience for your donors. Without waiting for updates through the mail, they can log in and check out fund performance, enjoy recipient bios, and read updates on your latest construction project.

  • A fund snapshot is a record of a fund's financial performance over a given period of time

  • A donor contact is someone—usually on behalf of the original donor—who receives updates related to a fund (fund performance, recipients, disbursements)

  • A recipient is someone benefiting from a donation (e.g., student, client, etc.)

  • A disbursement is a collection of data points about an recipient—often related to the original awarding criteria

  • A fund bulletin is a newsletter related to one or many funds, including information like fund highlights, project updates, recipient profiles, etc.

  • A cover letter lets you share personalized communications with your donors, such as a letter from your president or another official

Prerequisites
Tasks

  1. Invite donor contacts: Make sure donor contacts can access your system

  2. Publish fund snapshots: Share updated fund finances

  3. Publish disbursements : Include award-specific information about recipients

  4. Publish recipients: Provide more personal information about award recipients, such as their hometown or hobbies

  5. Cover letters (optional): Create a personalized introduction to each donor's report

  6. Create and publish bulletins (optional): Share fund highlights, recipient stories, and construction updates

  7. Generate and send donor reports (optional): Package fund information for easy access and consumption

  8. Notify donor contacts: Inform donors of new activity in their Donor Portal

Note: In sites with access to Stewardship Management, only System Administrators or Stewardship Administrators - Act can prepare your donor portal.
