What user permissions do I need to build Ad Hoc reports?

In general, you're required to have either the Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All user permission to create, manage, and view reports in the Ad Hoc and Data Feeds area. However, additional permissions may be required for certain report types.

Application and Nomination Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

Awards Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

Budget Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

  • System - Can Manage Budgets. Insights - Can View Budgets , or System - All

Custom Form Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

Funding Source Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

  • System - Can Manage Funding Sources. Insights - Can View Funding Sources, or System - All

In Kind Amount Requested Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

In Kind Items Awarded Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

In Kind Items Paid Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

Payment Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

Table Reports
  • Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All

Tip: The data for all reports is segmented based on the programs and workflows you have access to. When sharing reports, the data shown to your recipients will also be segmented based on their own access.

Note: If you do not have the Reporting - Can Manage Ad Hoc Reporting or Reporting - All permissions, you can still view reports shared with you. If masked information is included in your report, you must have the Grant Applications - Can View Masked Data to view it.
