To provide your donors with more convenient ways to give, Optimized Donation Forms now support Apple Pay and Google Pay for recurring gifts. Previously, only one-time gifts were supported. For more information, see Digital Wallets.
To help with reconciliation, now payments made by Apple Pay and Google Pay through donation forms:
-
Display with the Credit card payment method in batches and on records
-
Display the wallet type under Reference
Previously, digital wallet payments displayed as Other and the wallet type was not tracked.
Note: Payments made by PayPal still appear with the PayPal payment method.
To help with reconciliation, now payments made with Apply Pay when donors make donations or pay registration fees through online registration forms:
-
Display with the Credit card payment method in batches and on records
-
Display the wallet type under Reference
Previously, Apple Pay payments displayed as Other and the wallet type was not tracked.
Note: Payments made by PayPal still appear with the PayPal payment method.

Now you can export data from the Total gifts over time chart on all forms or individual forms to use for your own reporting. Export the chart as either an image file, which you can then embed in an application of your choice, or as a csv file or Microsoft Excel (XLSX) file to report on data such as amount raised, average amounts, and total donations.
On individual forms, you can export the Total gifts over time chart, as well as the Recent donations or the the Referral visits summary list to see page views, number of donations, and percentages for each referral. If you have multiple forms, you can use the exported files to compare the success of the forms over a given time.
To export data, from Tools, Donation form designer, select ... in the Total gifts over time chart, Recent Donations, or Referral visits summary list. For more information, see Performance for All Forms or Performance for Individual Forms.
Help Blackbaud improve the online payment experience by letting us display an optional survey to donors after they check out through your donation forms. When enabled, Blackbaud periodically presents surveys and collects research on user interaction. The survey is turned on by default. To turn it off, go to the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal. From Control panel, Settings, edit an account configuration. Under Checkout survey, clear the option and save.

To build on Add pledge gifts in the web view, now you can manage pledges too! You can:
-
Add pledge payments from the pledge record, a constituent's record, Fundraising, or Home.
-
Edit a pledge schedule's future payments, including the installment amounts and date from the pledge record.
-
Add write-offs from the pledge record for constituents unable to fulfill their pledge commitments.
For more information, see Pledges.

We're improving how you connect SKY applications and access NXT Data Integration for Raiser's Edge NXT. Previously, the environment admin was the only role that had permission to manage SKY applications and access the API.
-
You can use the Marketplace User management role to assign permissions with a greater level of granularity to enable any user to manage SKY applications in the Marketplace. Decide who can connect and disconnect applications, and who can approve scope changes. For more details, see the Permissions to connect applications help.
Tip: Don't see this yet? Expect its wider release in a future update.
-
For those who use the NXT Data Integration API, we’ve introduced a new Extensibility role to assign permission to access the API.
Note: If you were previously an environment admin, the new permissions are automatically assigned for you.
To create the User management or Extensibility role and assign permissions to users, navigate to Control Panel, Security to access Security roles and User management.

Now, you can add a membership, with basic membership details, from a constituent's record in the web view. Previously, you could only add a membership in the database view. To add a membership, on a constituent's record, under Membership, select Add membership. For more information, see Add membership.
Now, you can view the membership details and membership history for each membership in web view. Previously, you could only view membership history records in database view. To view a membership record, select it from a constituent's record under Membership. For more information, see Membership Records and View membership details.
You can now let people register for your events online through Online Registration Forms. These forms let your constituents sign themselves and others up for an event, enter their contact information, choose to make an additional donation, and pay their registration fees (for paid events).
From an event record, under Online registration forms, you can add a new form, edit an existing form, or review stats of the effectiveness of your existing forms. In the Form Designer, you can style your form to mimic the branding of your organisation's website. For more information, see Online Registration Forms.
Now, you can allow registrants to decline attendance for an event and prevent them from receiving event updates.
From the registration form designer, under Get Started, Registrant options select Allow registrants to decline RSVP to allow registrants to decline attendance from the online registration form.
Note: Registrants who decline RSVP on the event registration form appear as Declined in the list of participants on the Event record to help you remove them from future event updates. For more information, see Participants.
Tip: Select Allow registrants to make additional donations so registrants can still opt to donate even when they decline attendance.
For more information, see Online Registration Form Get Started.

From Blackbaud Apps, Online Giving, under Total gifts over time, you can now see the total gifts received from all donation forms. You can filter by date range and gift type. For more information, see Performance for All Forms.
Now, you can add a pledge when you add a gift from Home, Gift management, and a constituent record in the web view. Previously, you could only add a pledge in the database view. When you add a gift, select Pledge under Gift type. By default, the installment schedule is set to one payment. You can change the schedule when you select Pledge Schedule. For more information, see Pledges.
Patch 34 begins releasing in February 2024 and will encrypt several fields, including birth date, in database view. For more information on how this may affect your queries, see this Knowledgebase article.

We’ve moved the ability to manage table values, clean up table entries, and add new donor category tables from Tables under Configuration in database view to web view. To manage tables in web view, navigate to Control panel, Tables.
For more information, see Tables.
Now, in Online Giving, you can add a designation and appeal through an Optimized Donation Form's hyperlinks without adding them to the form. This enables you to add &desid=ID and &appealid=ID to the end of the links. To find the IDs you want to use, edit an Optimized Form from Blackbaud Apps, Online Giving.
-
For designations, from Donation, Designations, select Show All. Enter the designation name and make note of its ID.
-
For appeals, from Optional fields, Hidden fields, enter the appeal name and make note of its ID.
Close the form and copy the type of hyperlink you want to use under Publish, Hyperlinks. Next, append the parameter and its ID to the end of the link inside the quotation marks. For more information, see Parameters in Online Giving Help Center.

Do you process transactions in multiple currencies? The new marketing email Transactions table displays transaction count, total amount, and average amount for each currency received. To view the table, select a recently sent email from your marketing email dashboard.
If your optimized forms are in test mode, the test donations are not provided with a receipt or displayed in giving statements. This is to avoid confusion if the test donations are deleted later and to prevent assigning receipt numbers to test donations.
For more information, see Optimized Donation Form Tutorial.
